NEWLANDS – World Sports Betting Western Province Women batter Faye Tunnicliffe has etched her name into the history books with a remarkable performance in the Hollywoodbets Pro20 this season, becoming the first woman to score more than 400 runs in a single domestic campaign.
Tunnicliffe has accumulated an outstanding 414 runs so far this season, surpassing the previous domestic record of 386 runs set by Tazmin Brits.
Her tally also moves her ahead of North West Dragons batter Mignon du Preez, who had scored 394 runs earlier this season, making Tunnicliffe the new record holder.
What makes the achievement even more impressive is the efficiency with which it was accomplished. Tunnicliffe reached the milestone in just seven innings, including two not-outs, underlining both her consistency and ability to finish innings strongly for her team.
