WP end 4 Day campaign with a big win over North West

Six Gun Grill Western Province secured a convincing innings and 132 runs victory over North West Dragons. Both teams went into the match bottom of the table without a single win in the tournament.

Western Province were put in to bat first on day one. They took the home-ground advantage to set a first innings score of 576 runs, powered by two centuries from Daniel Smith (153) and Jonathan Bird (128).

Delano Potgieter claimed six-wickets, dismissing the likes of Bird, Smith, and Linde.

Senuran Muthusamy provided great performances with the bat anchoring both innings with 53 runs and 101 runs in the second innings. With the support Lesego Senokwane (66) and Wesley Marshall (58), the Dragons were bowled out for 202 and 242 respectively.

Linde (5/69 and 3/48) and Kyle Simmonds (4/24 and 2/67) were responsible for the collapse of the Dragons batting line up.

The win lifted WP to a final log position of 6th.
