The Western Province Cricket Association has heeded the call by the President of South Africa to take swift, purposeful and collective action immediately relating to COVID-19.

To this end, the WPCA offices and Newlands Cricket Ground, is under lockdown until further notice. This means that:

  • Majority of its staff will work remotely
  • All club, youth and any other form of cricket is cancelled
  • All board and subcommittee meetings are cancelled

You are kindly requested not to visit Newlands Cricket Ground during this time to exercise social distancing and prevent the spread of the virus.

An assessment will be made on a weekly basis to consider the ongoing need to remain under lockdown.
